The Karlee II is a heavily constructed steel tug designed by Phil Curran of Fremantle and built to an extremely high standard by A. Ball and Sons also of Fremantle. She comprises of a single Detroit 6V92 Engine, giving an estimated 250Hp and max speed of 10 knots. The vessel is maintained to a very high standard, with a recent refit and engine rebuild. The Karlee II is reliable and maneuverable.
The Phoenix is an incredibly versatile vessel powered by twin outboard engines and a bollard pull of 2.5ts. She is built to a very high standard and can carry 12 pax comfortably. The Phoenix can reach speeds of 25 kts She is ideal for fast response, construction and harbour support operations.
Barge TBD1217 is a fine build and versatile barge presented in great condition. She is ideal for events, construction and maintenance projects.
At the helm of STOK Marine is Cpt. Luke Redman. Luke has extensive experience in the maritime industry, starting off as a Ships Agent then moving into the blue water seagoing field. Luke transferred into the offshore oil and gas industry in 2007, beginning by working on anchor handling vessels and most recently moving into harbour towage in 2009. Luke saw the need for a second small tug / workboat in the Port of Newcastle having worked on the harbour for many years.
